Dear Friends, Colleagues, Customers:
Thank you for remembering us…it has been difficult since my Claire died nearly a year ago but I am happy to say we have restocked, primarily good and reasonably priced paintings, and these are now appearing at shows at which we exhibit…Scotts in Atlanta, the Red Barn in Round Top, Texas, the Nashville Antiques and Garden Show and occasional other shows (We did “The Big Flea” near Washington DC in July and will do the Greenville SC Museum Show in mid October.
Porcelain these days is bedeviled by high quality repaired pieces, outright fakes and, frankly, changing tastes. While I love porcelain, and today we find offering good, authentic and reasonably priced oil paintings from 150 to 60 years old is the most satisfying way to complete my time as a dealer.
Look at our two painting categories: 20th Century Art and 19th Century Art. Also look at the painting archive to see what we have sold. Today the photography is weak…but that will improve starting tomorrow when we post new photos on a light colored backdrop.
If you want to see what others charge for sometimes the same artists, please look at websites such as “First Dibs”. We are proud of what we offer and the prices we can offer too. Of course we can ship…paintings are easy to pack.
