Stock 11211 Oil on board, Yvonne Violette, 1883-1936. Painted near the end of her life, Vonnot-Violette, a Belgian, painting mainly in France. Her grandfather was the famous Viollet-le-Duc, the Napoleon III architect and the restorer of Carcasonne. She painted boldly, often flowers, but also landscapes and still life. One of her teachers was Oswald Poreau, an artist we like and often handle. Her works hang in the city hall of Schaerbeek, Brussels. Listed artist. Dimensions including frame 25 X 25 inches.
