Fernand Vetcour “FARMING VILLAGE, ARDENNES”

Stock 11581 Oil on masonite, Belgian, Ca 1950. Fernand Vetcour 1908-2001 is one of our favored artists. His works are realist/impressionist, quiet colors and impeccable perspective. Mostly he paint images of the rural Vesdre Valley in Belgium however at the beginning of World War 2 he migrated to Southern France and painted there.At the end of the war, he took a position in the Liege Academy of Art and remained there. His works are held in five Belgian museums. We have three works, two of Belgium and one of France. Listed Artist. Framed dimensions 29×25 inches
