A Brass Inkstand, Circa 1800


A brass inkstand or “standish”, English or Spanish, end of the 18th Century. This example has short screws projecting from the base allowing each element to be attached for traveling or for use at sea. It has a pen holder, a sander and two inkpots. Unmarked
